Join us for an exciting and interactive Nature Trail Adventure at the beautiful Leicester Botanic Gardens! 🌳✨ Set within the stunning 16 acres of gardens, this experience will introduce children to a wide range of natural environments, including arboreta, rock gardens, and even a desert house. 🌵

This event aligns with Hubb Leicestershire’s goal of holistic community engagement, helping children develop an appreciation for nature and the environment. 🦋🌿

🌍 Islamic Concept of Stewardship (Khalifah)

In line with Islamic teachings, the concept of Khalifah (Stewardship) reminds us of our duty to care for the Earth. 🌏👐
Allah (SWT) says in the Qur’an:
“And it is He who has made you successors (khalifah) upon the Earth...” (Surah Al-An’am 6:165)

As we approach the winter months, it is even more important to help our children stay connected to the outdoors and develop a lifelong love for nature. 🍂

• 🌱 Investigate Herbs: Discover the fascinating uses of herbs in medicine and cooking.

• 🌾 Plant Seeds: Get hands-on experience planting seeds to nurture.

• 🐞 Mini-Beast Hunt: Find and observe insects and tiny creatures in their habitat.

• 🌳 Touch the Giant Redwood Tree: Stand next to nature’s giants.

• 🍂 Bark Rubbing: Create artistic rubbings of tree bark patterns.

• 🏕️ Build a Small Shelter: Work together to create a simple shelter using natural materials.

• 💧 Try Pond Dipping: Explore the hidden life in the garden’s ponds.

The event will take place regardless of the weather, as we have planned some indoor activities as well. 🌧️🌦️

Children should wear adequate outdoor clothing and bring wellington boots to ensure they are prepared for all conditions. 🧥👢
