🌙 Girls Youth Programme: Preparing for Ramadan
📅 Sunday 18th January | 🕔 5:00PM – 6:30PM
📍 Masjid Adam (A.S), Oadby
🕌 Preparing Our Hearts for Ramadan
As we approach the blessed month of Ramadan 🌙, this session of the Girls Youth Programme will focus on spiritual preparation, intention-setting, and personal growth 🌱. Ramadan is not just a month of fasting, but a time to reset our relationship with Allah, our habits, and our goals — and this session aims to help young Muslim girls approach it with clarity and purpose.
Through guided reflection and discussion 💬, participants will explore how to prepare emotionally, spiritually, and practically for Ramadan, developing a deeper understanding of why this month is so special and how to make the most of it.
🎙 Speaker
This session will be delivered by Ustadha Zulekha, an experienced Islamic teacher and youth speaker 🌸 who has been a familiar and trusted presence throughout the Girls Youth Programme. Her engaging and relatable approach allows young girls to reflect honestly, ask questions, and connect Islamic teachings to their everyday lives.
🎨 Activity: Vision Board Workshop
Participants will take part in a Vision Board Workshop ✂️🖍️, creating a personal visual reminder of their goals and intentions for Ramadan. This activity encourages reflection, creativity, and mindfulness, helping girls think about how they want to grow spiritually, improve their character, and strengthen their relationship with Allah during the coming month.
📌 Participants are encouraged to bring their own felt-tip pens, markers, stickers, or craft materials if they wish, although basic materials will be provided.
🌸 About the Girls Youth Programme
The Girls Youth Programme is a monthly initiative hosted by Hubb Leicestershire, designed for girls aged 12–18 👧🏽. Each session addresses relevant themes through Islamic learning, discussion, and creative activities, providing a safe and supportive environment for young Muslim girls to build confidence, faith, and a strong Islamic identity.
The programme is delivered in collaboration with Al-Hanafiyyat, whose qualified female scholars continue to shape and strengthen this initiative through thoughtful, engaging teaching 📖.
We are also grateful to Oadby Community Hub for providing the use of Masjid Adam (A.S) 🕌 as the venue for these sessions, enabling us to host meaningful community programmes in a welcoming space.
