Event Description:
Join us for a series of Women's Self-Defence Classes hosted by Hubb Leicestershire in collaboration with esteemed self-defence instructor Tamsin Davies. These sessions are designed to equip women, ages 12 and above, with practical skills to protect themselves in various situations.

Event Overview: π
These sessions aim to create a safe and supportive environment where women can learn and practice essential self-defence techniques. Through a combination of theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice, participants will gain confidence, awareness, and skills vital for personal safety. This will be a refresher session from the previous sessions held in February 2024, but all are welcome to join regardless of any previous experience.
About the Instructor: π₯
Defence4Women was founded by Tamsin Davies, an experienced martial artist and teacher of taekwon-do for many years. Her inspiration to teach women self-defence stems from witnessing the confidence and self-esteem boost her students found in martial arts practice. She's dedicated to expanding this opportunity to other women through focused sessions and a special emphasis on aiding trauma recovery.
Tamsin's Background & Experience: π₯
Tamsin is a certified self-defence instructor with a nationally accredited BTEC Level 3 in Self-Defence. Her martial arts background includes being a qualified instructor with the British Taekwondo Council, holding a 4th Dan black belt in taekwon-do, and training in kickboxing and Russian Systema self-defence. She conducts self-defence workshops across the East Midlands and runs a women-only taekwon-do club, among other classes. Tamsin is fully DBS-checked and first aid trained for sporting injuries.

We will ensure that only women will be accessing the facility during the session, providing a comfortable and private environment for all participants.
